Sreesanth the Superstar
After 13 years, 11 attempts, finally an Indian cricket team - one that is coming from a 2-13 win-loss record in recent ODIs, written off by media, criticized heavily by former players - has earned a well deserved test victory in South Africa. This test match will be memorable for many reasons apart from its historic significance. This was a hard fought win that involved vital contributions from every member of the playing eleven. This test also marked a spirited comeback from two players, who many believed would never play for India again, Ganguly and Zaheer Khan - Ganguly, with a gritty first innings knock that showcased sheer determination and perseverance interspersed with his long lost flamboyance (a smack-hit of a Ntini bouncer over mid-wicket for six), and Zaheer, with an incredible display of disciplined seam bowling (including a peach of an outswinger to dismiss Herschelle Gibbs).
But, the most memorable moment came from man-of-the-match Sreesanth, who, apart from demolishing the South African top-order in both innings, provided the stand-out (literally) performance in response to Andre Nel's sledging. Watch the video of the entire episode here.

Well, to be precise, the penalty was not for this particular incident; he got docked 20% for mocking another SA player (Alami? I forget the name) after he (Sreesanth) had gotten him out, and 10% for wearing a shirt with some sponsor's logo on it. The match referee who imposed the fines, you might be interested to know, was Roshan Mahanama.
