Tata Nano and Ratan Tata
Came across this toi article on the nano (via indiauncut). Very heart-warming. Man, that guy (Ratan Tata) has vision and determination!
It was also heartening to see how he got the original motivation -- to make the car affordable for a lower-middle class family with two children that hitherto was forced to use a two-wheeler for transportation.
This car has involved some revolutionary engineering decisions as well -- this car alone led to some huge number of patents (40 or so) -- much more than the previous products.
All in all, very feel-good story!
