Here's an NYTimes article that looks at what jokes people find funny and why. Apparently, when it comes to pj's at least (what the article calls "lame jokes"), the setting and your personal situation matters a lot in your (unconscious) decision whether to laugh at the joke or not.

Time to go

Its 8.20 pm on Monday, 5th of March! I just finished cleaning my entire bench/ freezer/ refrigerator/ desk/ drawers in lab. It looks and feels so strange. Wow...It still hasn't quite sunk in. Although my body realizes that something is strange- the head feels weird as does the stomach and everything feels like one long dream.

Anyway, random thoughts that I felt like sharing.
